i've stayed in my "new" flat throughout the year and staying alone is very very comfortable..
in 2006; my sister graduated from tmk and went to dundee;
i setup an online hotel booking business and i visited ankara 6 or 7 times :D

my new philips 7 inch digital photo frame just arrived today!
the image quality is fantastic and i loved this geeky toy.
u got those hundreds of digital photos stored on ur pc; now it's time to show them off simply and stylishly. the slideshow option can be arranged from 5 seconds to 1 day intervals. the unit's self memory is enough to store some 50 photos. it costs around £250 but it's definitely worth it! |

i was in ankara for a week. did lots of shopping with sifa in ankamall, went to uludag @ armada to eat delicious iskender, played some harsh ping pong games with musti, watched hokkabaz, played bowling, watched cimbom's champions league match with zelish and can, met sifa's aunt, uncle and their little kid mert... everything was awesome! |

yeyyy for nezire for cooking the unnamed but delicious chicken dish with creamy garlic sauce.. kemal, fatos and i helped her a little.
there was a lot fun in the kitchen.
we then watched the movie in good company which was enjoyable. |

kemal, fatos and I went to the symphonic rock concert followed by a dance show by tan sagturk and his crew.
it was supposed to take place in salamis antique theatre but due to rain, it was moved to emu sports complex.
we enjoyed it a lot! :) |

paintball is so much fun! we went today with musti, kemal, sifa, fatos and my cousin zekai.
We were so busy playing and exhausted afterwards that we forgot the take any pics except this one :P
summer is ending and the weather in september is awesome! cimbom is playing in champions league and the first match is this tuesday. stupid fener was eliminated again. huh! i launched cyprus44 but i'd still consider it as beta. i m still implementing new features and will officially launch on 1st october. aysem moved to her flat in dundee today and she is quite upset. i m sure she'll recover soon.. summer people (eg. ppl who study in turkey and uk) r leaving so it's more time for work and concentration on new projects... it's been a while since i posted a pic here, so here you go: what is this man doing? |

musti, kemal, seref and i spent the whole sunday at the waterworld waterpark in ayia napa.
it's a great weekend getaway although we got quite tired in the end.
we enjoyed the fall of icarus and drop to atlantis rides the most. |

The latest
incidents at Metehan (Ayios Dhometios) checkpoint are UNACCEPTABLE!
The Greek Cypriot police arrested an architect for keeping drawing plans (on TRNC land) in his vehicle while trying to cross the border. It's been more than a week and he is still being kept confined. He has been unwell for some time and was brought to a hospital because of his high blood sugar level.
Cyprus problem cannot be reduced to nor action can be taken on an individual basis.
I am warning here; if these inhumanitarian actions by Greek Cypriots continue, Turkish Cypriots will not stand still and consequences will be severe.

ahmet dervis was back from virginia. mustafa was back from ankara. it was the reunion of the best friends after a long time :) we did lots of stuff - ayia napa, latsi fish tavern, 8-ppl, etc. on our last day, we couldnt resist being a little bit childish :P

once upon a time, trncwashdc.org was the homepage of the Washington, D.C., office of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. in other words, it was the official website of the embassy of TRNC in Washington. but due to incompetency of the skillful people at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is now the property of Tony sanchez from Greece. the site is now a business directory.

i think every ministry must have a major technology department. it will not only take care of technical issues such as renewing domain names owned by the ministry, but also help promote north cyprus in the Internet and other mediums. |

woke up 8am. drove to lefkosa. got photographs taken. went to near east administration bldg. got my certified student document. xeroxed them in deniz plaza. went to ministry of education. had it signed n certified. went to post office to buy revenue stamp. went to asal sube (public office for military issues) and successfully postponed by military duty. went to kibris turk hava yollari to get a flight ticket. then passed the border to south nicosia. went to alpha mega supermarket. then to bank of cyprus. withdrew some money. went back to north. converted cyprus pounds to turkish lira at sun exchange n deposited them at isbank. drive back to kyrenia. i did all these before 1pm. considering the bad nicosia traffic, i think that's quite impressive... |

it's been a very hectic month n passed so quickly.. gnc is making strategic moves and the profits r climbing up very well. summer is approaching and wardrobe change is necessary :P ahmet dervis is comin on 4 june.. yeyy for that.. gs had let us down very badly - missed two opportunities to be the champion. today we had the last census in north cyprus. they said that they r moving to digital so there wont be another census. so i was expecting they come with pdas, but its all paperwork again. i guess they'll be typing them on pcs to make it digital (!).

we've become a registered company under trnc as we've organised hotel and/or flights for 64 persons. we've processed over £16,000 and gained £2,660 profit in the 1st quarter of 2006.
on left; co-founder izzet zorlu holding a cheque payable to "" dated 1st march - before the company gets founded. it's like google inc, but the difference is that their cheque was $100,000. read the google history. |

so.. what's going on lately? NCP has been banned from writing cheques and we haven't received the promised loan (a few million pounds).. business in north cyprus is made up of lots of intrigues i learnt. google shares dropped from $470 to $350 when google refused to provide data to the court. bird flu finally hit north cyprus and hotel reservation cancellations hit 20%. in the last 3 weeks, i have tasted garlic king prawns in a few restaurants and i love this dish.. berkan told me that shrimp increases semen production.. ehh.. not bad :P gonorthcyprus.com is doing pretty well. i've published my malta car rental website.. i have been regularly running with berkan - 4km 4 times a week.. going to steam bath and sauna at oscars (only 10try).. life is good :) i m looking for a dedicated partner to go learn snowboarding... |
