Izzet Zorlu in 2005 Second Half
for a sec i thought of the places i've been in 2005.. 3 continents, 5 countries and 13 cities.. i hope i'll be able to travel as much this year as well. i am very optimistic that 2006 will be a great year :) i have one resolution and i'll try to make it happen. cheers!!

i like bairams. first of all, there is no work. secondly, there is an exciting atmosphere everywhere.. everyone wears their best clothes and smiles.. it's like there is a huge carnival going on :) thirdly, i get to see close family friends and relatives, probably once in a year this day. we got together at grandma's place for lunch. grandchildren with grandma.
this day i hurt a very good person's feelings. :( i wish things had been different.. |

okey.. grandma owns three flats - the one she is currently living in, the one opposite dome hotel and a new one she got for exchanging her shop with ozyalcin construction. she decided to give these 3 flats to 3 of her daughters. yeyy for the grandma! lol. anyway so my mom picked the new flat in the draw and i m moving in early 2006 :) it seems that this flat will be my future home till i save enough money to buy a villa - give me a couple of years ;) meanwhile buying stuff for my new home is so much fun! |

my laptop's lcd screen is broken. authorised hp centre in south cyprus couldn't replace it. my pocket pc phone has lost its sound capability - it just doesn't make any sounds and doesn't ring! that needs to be replaced as well. my car rental website had been down for 8 hours during peak time and i am losing money. today i ate molohiya my grandma cooked and it was delicious! last 3 days has been... ugh! |

coz of google dance, berkan lost its search engine rankings in google. luckily, it's the end of the season so it wont really affect him.. BCH also dropped out of top 10.. ehh. there is the bird flu pandemic nowadays. it even came to turkey so i quit eating chicken - i know it's ridiculous.. lol.. we found a new cozy bar, night jar, in centre kyrenia the other night. winter is coming.. we were having picnic near catalkoy yesterday and it started pouring all of a sudden.. somebody had to cook and we have to eat those kebabs u know.. aysem is preparing for her tests and studying realy hard. i m helping her with her personal statement and my memories from 2000 (it's been 5 years.. omg) struck me. hehe. last but not least, i finally managed to launch Why Cyprus website that was supposed to be published late september as of my 4 march post. i think this still counts as "on time" - we'r living in cyprus time, right! :P |
NCP's new website

today is a good day coz i managed to release the new renovated website of NCP right on time after 3 months of hard work :) so far it received excellent motivating feedback. I believe that NCP website is one of the best construction/estate agency websites in the world. the new improvements are:
• easier to use - the new website allows NCP prospective clients to find the information they are looking for faster and easier. relocating a specific web page is easier with the information provided by the “you are here:” signs. the search feature returns relevant results with no advertisements unlike before.
• more professional - the design of the new website is now more elegant and is consistent among all web pages. more than 200 photo galleries are dynamically generatd by a single asp file. there is the new “company” section that gives details about NCP and new “investors” section that is specifically created for investors.
• live support - the live support feature allows any website visitor to initiate direct communication with one of NCP sales representatives while they are on our website. NCP sales representatives can also track visitor behaviour and can actively invite visitors to chat.
• live site availability. the availability information of NCP projects is retrieved directly from the customer management system (CMS) (developed by me last summer) and reflects the current status of each plot.
• private client page - NCP clients can login to their private page to update their information, track their payments, and see the latest status on their property.
let me post the screenshots of the old website and new website for some nostalgia in the future. hehe |

erdogan and i went to polis (south cyprus) to visit my friend stathis. we talked about starting a villa rental business where he'll arranging the villas and finalising the reservations and i'll be setting up and maintaining the website. we ate variety of sea food at a good restaurant next to the latchi harbour, stopped for a coffee at the square in polis, took a few hours ride with his jeep to see coral bay region - number 1 spot for renting villas, hit an irish pub and stayed in a bungalow stathis arranged for us. it's an unique weekend.
there is one section of the road from polis to paphos, where your brain perceives that the road is downhill but actually when you stop, the car unmistakably slides "uphill". see this video (2mb) |

i've been working really hard in order to launch the ncp's new website by 1st october - it's kind of getting boring to work on it all day.. been brainstorming with berkan about new business ideas. earning one million dollars should be simple - just sell $10 worth of something to 100,000 people, or sell $100 worth of something to 10,000 people... we are trying to find out underdeveloped markets that we can take advantage of online.. but the real thriller is actually finding something that hasn't been done before. last week watched the movie "the island" - an amazing thriller with plenty of action and sci-fi.. the summer is ending and the real signs are that my friends are leaving for masters. even my 4-year roomie ahmet has flied to manchester. i m trying to come up with a plan to buy a villa.. this won't be an ordinary one though. hehe |

my first bmw

i bought my first bmw. it's the 1 series with 1.6-liter engine. it's been a week and i loved the way it holds to the ground.
the tracking and stability control systems really allow you to get the best performance of ur car.
..and of course i bought manual transmission... |
